About Strömsbro School
Strömsbro School is part of the Stigslund principal area. At Strömsbro School, we have approximately 300 students from preschool class to grade 6. The school is staffed by dedicated personnel, and there is a strong interest among everyone in developing the school activities so that students get a solid foundation to stand on. At Strömsbro School, we actively work to increase student attendance. We actively work with relational leadership and students' reading competence in all subjects. Strömsbro School is characterized by good results, well-being, and engagement. The school's ambition is for students to feel safe at school and achieve good academic results. Therefore, preventive work against harassment and bullying is carried out here. The school works to ensure students develop and respect themselves and others.
About the Position
We are now looking for an engaged recreation center teacher (fritidshemslärare) who wants to help shape a safe and meaningful everyday life for our students!

Responsibilities
As a teacher in our recreation center, you will be responsible for planning and teaching in the recreation center. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to creating a school where everyone feels safe and seen, whether as students, guardians, or staff. The work is performed in collaboration with other educators, student health services, and guardians.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the recreation center according to decided goals and guidelines.
- Create learning activities that promote students' social, physical, and creative development.
- Plan and conduct break activities and outdoor time.
In accordance with Gävle Municipality's value base, you have a good approach, a good ability to collaborate, and value high quality in your work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in the recreation center.
- Knowledge of the curriculum for primary school as well as for preschool class and the recreation center.
- Good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools.
To succeed in the role, you are:
- Structured: You plan and organize the activity in a thoughtful way and create structures that give students a safe and predictable everyday life in the recreation center.
- Relationship-building: You take initiative in social contexts and build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have a natural ability to create safety and trust in the group.
- Collaborative: You collaborate without hierarchy in the work team and contribute to a positive and solution-focused work environment. You work closely with both the school and the recreation center to create a holistic experience in the students' day.
- Clear leadership: You show clear and secure leadership where you naturally motivate students and create an environment where they thrive and feel good. You have a good ability to create open dialogue and adapt your language to the situation and target group.
- Flexible: You easily adapt to changed situations and students' different needs. You can switch between planned activities and spontaneous ones, seeing opportunities in the variations of everyday life.
