Within the Care and Social Services Administration, full-time employment is the norm. This means that all permanent employees are fundamentally employed on a full-time basis. About the role
As a care assistant here, you have a central role in daily care. You meet the residents in their everyday lives and contribute to security, dignity, and quality of life through professional and personal treatment.
We are looking for two care assistants with the same basic duties. One of the positions involves a more flexible working approach where you work across several departments based on operational needs. This role suits you if you are confident in your competence, adapt easily, and enjoy variety. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your competence and develop through various types of delegation.
Your tasks:
- Perform personal care and service tasks
- Perform delegated tasks from licensed personnel, such as medication management
- Document according to the Social Services Act
- Create and maintain good relationships with residents, relatives, colleagues, and other professional groups
- Actively participate in teamwork regarding the resident
You are also involved in developing both the operations and yourself together with your colleagues.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Education as a care assistant with a protected professional title
- Experience working in elderly care
- Ability to receive and work based on delegation
- You must be able to communicate independently and without hindrance in Swedish, both orally and in writing. This is a requirement to ensure patient safety and correct documentation in the work.
Merits:
- Delegation in areas such as tracheostomy, tube feeding, or insulin
- Experience in dementia care

About the workplace
Västergården is a care and social housing facility with 50 apartments distributed over three floors. Here we offer both dementia and care places in an operation characterized by person-centered care and social services.

We are centrally located in Uppsala with proximity to beautiful walking paths along the Fyrisån river, which provides good opportunities for outdoor activities and contributes to a pleasant environment for both residents and employees.
Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, as well as every other weekend.
