About Us Uppsala Närakut is a modern general practice with a broad mandate. Here, we see patients of all ages – from children to the elderly – with acute complaints that cannot wait until the next day.

We work in cross-professional teams where general practice, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and psychosocial support collaborate. The clinic has X-ray facilities, orthopedic specialists, and a counselor, allowing us to offer cohesive care for the patient.

Each year, we receive a large number of patients, and about one-third are under 18 years old.

Our daily work is characterized by engagement, collaboration, and a desire to constantly develop. We have short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence how we work – together.

The Role As a general practitioner specialist with us, you work with clinic duties in a team together with nurses, assistant nurses, and counselors. You meet patients with varying acute conditions and get to use your full medical breadth.

The role also includes a Medical Leadership Responsibility (MLA), where you become part of the management group and contribute to the development of the operations. Here you get the opportunity to influence working methods, processes, and flows, and to drive improvements in close collaboration with colleagues and external actors such as Region Uppsala and Uppsala University Hospital.

The work is mainly during daytime hours, but variations in working hours may occur as the facility is open every day of the year from 07:00 to 23:00.

About You

Requirements:

• Specialist in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, or Surgery.
• Experience in outpatient work within primary care
• Good ability to work independently and in a team

You are confident in your professional role and enjoy working with acute patient meetings. At the same time, you have an interest in developing operations and working methods.
