Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Support and Care

We are looking for an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Support and Care department. In collaboration with the municipality-wide Security and Preparedness function, you will help build civil defense within municipal healthcare and social services in Tomelilla. Your primary task is to work preventively and capacity-building within the security and preparedness area together with the department's operations.

Job Description

Your role involves working with business continuity, crisis preparedness, civil defense, information security, and general security. You will lead training and exercises in the area and develop routines based on the municipality's guidelines and plans.

In this role, you will work on developing and implementing new working methods and processes, as well as further developing existing structures within the preparedness area, with a special focus on the municipality's social care and municipal healthcare. A key part of the assignment is to provide ongoing support, guidance, and advice to the operations regarding preparedness and continuity.

You will contribute to analyses, risk, and vulnerability assessments, and develop proposals for measures and implement initiatives that strengthen the operations' preparedness capabilities. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the municipality's other security and preparedness functions.

The role also includes participating in the department's crisis management during extraordinary events, which involves support, coordination, and leadership during a crisis.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have a relevant academic education or other knowledge that the employer considers equivalent, as well as experience in working with preparedness. Knowledge of public administration and how a municipality is organized and functions is desirable, as is knowledge of crisis preparedness from a municipal perspective.

We would like you to have experience working in crisis preparedness, security, preparedness planning, business continuity, or other related areas.

  • Experience in social care or municipal healthcare is desirable.
  • Experience in children's rights work and gender equality work is desirable.
  • It is also desirable if you have experience in coordination and development work, as well as in creating directive documents, planning, and conducting training and exercises. Experience in risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, or staff work.

Since the work involves close collaboration with many actors, both internally and externally, we value that you are receptive, communicative, and have good collaboration skills. You are analytical and strategic in your approach and have the ability to see the big picture in matters concerning quality, security, and preparedness.

You have a genuine commitment to society and thrive in a central and supportive role where you contribute to involvement, collaboration, and trust.

The work requires very good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite. In addition, you must have very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. A manual transmission B-driver's license is required.

The position requires Swedish citizenship, and a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.

Terms of Employment

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: By agreement. Fixed-term until 2027-12-31, ending: 2027-12-31.
