Ekebyskolan is a preschool to year 6 school with approximately 250 students. Around 45 employees work here, who enjoy their workplace and each other. In the middle school, we have two classes in each grade. The school is located in a villa area in Djursholm with a nature-friendly surroundings. We believe that a safe climate where everyone feels comfortable is the best foundation for good learning. We are now looking for a music teacher for a 50% substitute position during the school year 2026/2027 for grades 1–6. Do you have a teaching license with eligibility to teach music? WORK TASKS

Your main role is to be a music teacher for grades 1–6 in a well-functioning school environment where collaboration and collegial learning are in focus.

You are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching according to our governing documents. You are involved in planning and conducting Christmas and summer closures and similar musical gatherings. You are responsible for the music subject in grades 1-6, and half-class in grade 6. The role does not include mentorship, and you are part of the middle school work team.

You collaborate with class teachers/subject teachers and have a dialogue with students and guardians regarding knowledge development and learning. You actively contribute to creating a positive work environment, for both large and small groups. With your commitment and drive, you contribute to us becoming the absolute best school for our students together.

Currently, the role is scheduled for 3 days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed teacher with eligibility in music for grades 1-6.
• Have experience with written assessments and grading.
• Are well-versed in the school's mission and governing documents.
• Have knowledge of inclusive and accessible learning environments.
• Have very good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing in Swedish.

We are looking for you who have pedagogical ability and work in a structured manner. You are communicative and team-oriented. It is important for you to create good and trust-inspiring relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are flexible and adapt easily to the current situation. You are a stable person who handles interactions with low affectivity, is constructive, and acts professionally in pressured situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Salary: Monthly salary.
