The Assignment

We are now looking for a teacher with qualifications to teach Spanish.

At Kvisthamra School, we work in two work teams based on the students' age; lower primary (grades 1-3) and middle primary (grades 4-6). In the work team, together with colleagues in parallel classes and collaboration pedagogues at the after-school center (who also work during school hours), you will work together on your students' learning. This creates job satisfaction and offers exciting shared leadership regarding the student group.

What you need to bring

You are a qualified teacher with authorization to teach in preschool class and/or lower primary school, and you naturally have experience working with early reading and writing development. As a teacher, you contribute to a good and dynamic work climate by being solution-focused and having a positive fundamental outlook. You are a clear leader with the ability to create security through clear structure and varied teaching.

You have a professional attitude, see challenges as opportunities, and are good at building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and other partners. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can communicate both orally and in writing with everyone involved in your profession.

Welcome to us

Kvisthamra School is located in a cool spot up on Kvisthamrahöjden, centrally in Norrtälje town. We are a stable two-parallel lower and middle primary school with approx. 350 students and a well-functioning after-school center. We have functional and nice premises in our various school buildings that surround our schoolyard. In recent years, we have improved the learning environment; we have repainted and invested in new nice classroom furniture. It is a journey where we constantly make improvements. It should be pleasant for everyone to come to school; for our students and for us who work here. Together we are approx. 50 employees, a mix of newly hired, newly graduated, and those with long experience, which creates an exciting and developmental exchange of experience.

We have an interdisciplinary student health team consisting of a special needs educator, special teacher, school nurse, counselor, and school psychologist. Through the municipality's central student health service, we also cooperate closely with occupational therapists and other professions based on need. The cooks in the Kvisthamra kitchen prepare well-cooked and nutritious lunch from scratch every day, a meal we all look forward to.

Employment form, extent, and start

• Employment form: Fixed-term employment (Special fixed-term appointment)

• Extent: Part-time, 10%

• Duration: 3–6 months

• Start date: Autumn term 2026
