Description
Welcome to Hisingen School District 9. Our schools are located in southern Torslanda, a stone's throw from the sea, with beautiful nature, fresh winds, and salty baths in the immediate vicinity. Our school district consists of four schools:
- Hjuviksskolan F-3
- Hällsviksskolan F-3
- Skutehagsskolan F-3
- Skutehagsskolan 4-6
- Nordlyckeskolan 7-9
Hjuviksskolan and Hällsviksskolan are two smaller units with 130 and 100 students respectively. Skutehagsskolan is a larger school with approximately 550 students. Nordlyckeskolan is our upper secondary school with approximately 430 students. Currently, there are approximately 1,200 students in our school district, and we are 150 staff members working together to provide the students in the district with the best conditions for learning. Our catchment area is considered a socio-economically advantaged area, and our students have high goal achievement.
Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a psychologist for our student health services. As a psychologist, you are part of the schools' student health teams, and together with other professions within student health, you support school leadership in removing obstacles so that all students can participate actively in teaching and be part of a secure social environment.
Your duties as a psychologist in primary and secondary school include:
- Counseling individual educators or work teams.
- Providing further education to other professions in relevant areas, such as mental ill-health.
- Conducting various forms of individual assessments.
- Collaborating with both internal and external actors, such as guardians and care partners.
For the parts of your work that fall under the Health and Medical Services Act, a quality management system and methodological support have been developed. There is also a local PLA (Psychologist with Leadership Responsibility) for support and further education in matters concerning patient safety. All health and medical care work, such as psychological assessments, must take place in adapted premises where office space is also available. As a psychologist in the Hisingen educational area, you have a psychologist group of approximately 20 people close at hand, including a professional developer and a PLA. The group strives for a collaborative culture and meets regularly for collegial support, further education, counseling, and professional development. Newly hired psychologists are always offered a mentor.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- is a licensed psychologist
- has experience driving development work
- has knowledge of assessments for Intellectual Disability (ID)
- is well acquainted with appropriate testing instruments
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience working in a school
- some form of further education regarding counseling/consultation methodology
For the position, we are looking for you who take responsibility for your and the shared tasks and have the ability to work independently within the framework of your assignment. You have the ability to create trustful relationships and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role.
Furthermore, you are clear in your communication and can convey information and ideas, both orally and in writing. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. You have good cooperation skills and understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.
