Alströmergymnasiet in Alingsås Municipality is a secondary school with approximately 1,250 students distributed across 11 national programs, adapted secondary education, and introductory programs, which also include language classes for newly arrived students. The educational operations are divided into seven sectors, each headed by a principal, and together we are more than 220 employees.

The Student Health Services at Alströmergymnasiet are now looking for a school nurse for a part-time position at 20%. You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of school nurses, special education teachers, school counselors, and school psychologists. Your duties include conducting student health conversations within the economics and technology programs and receiving spontaneous student visits. We are a group that works without hierarchy and supports each other, always with the students' best interests in mind.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a school nurse, you are responsible for adding a medical and health science perspective to the student health team's work with other professions within the secondary school to create accessible learning environments for all students. You primarily work health-promoting and preventive to support students' development towards the goals of education. You conduct health conversations and meet students through open reception as well as planned meetings. You collaborate with guardians, social services, and the region's healthcare providers.

In the role of school nurse with us, it is important that you have the ability to see students' different needs and take their individual prerequisites into account. You choose to see opportunities instead of obstacles, have an open attitude, and an inclusive approach. In the work team, you are secure, stable, and an enthusiastic employee. You have a good ability to collaborate and create good and trusting relationships with colleagues, students, school staff, and guardians.

The position includes some fixed programs, ongoing substitution work, and acting as a sounding board regarding the Health and Medical Services Act to the principal and work team, in collaboration with the medically responsible person.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Experience in health-promoting and preventive work with youth in secondary school

The position is at 40%, of which 20% is a permanent employment and 20% is a general fixed-term employment for 6 months.
