The Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society (MUCF) is a government agency that produces knowledge about the living conditions of young people and the prerequisites for civil society. Our vision is an open and inclusive Sweden with good conditions for young people and civil society. We strengthen civil society and young people for a cohesive and strong Sweden.
MUCF has been commissioned by the government to work towards achieving the goals within youth policy and policy for civil society. We do this by producing, collecting, and disseminating knowledge and contributing to the coordination of state efforts. We collaborate with agencies, municipalities, regions, and civil society organizations, as well as distributing state grants.
The Division for State Grants has as its main tasks to distribute state grants to non-profit organizations, national minorities, religious communities, and foundations, as well as to follow up on these. The Division for State Grants also has a support function for grant-giving actors.
Job Description
MUCF is looking for a lawyer who will split their time between providing legal support to the Division for State Grants and processing applications for state grants. The focus of the legal work will be on the democratic requirements for receiving state grants. The lawyer may also need to support in appeals or in official statements.
Initially, the lawyer will work closely with our division lawyer to gain knowledge and understanding of the legal issues that arise in the processing. However, the goal is for the processing lawyer to become more independent and able to take responsibility for the legal issues that arise in the processing.
The processing includes national grant applications and reports from organizations seeking organizational, project, and operational grants based on existing regulations and other directives. Read more at www.mucf.se.
The processing is done in collaboration with colleagues. The work involves contacting applicants and actors interested in our grants.
You are active in monitoring the external environment and can handle difficult and complex cases with the help of colleagues, as well as by independently researching relevant areas and seeking information.
The work at the Division for State Grants is event-driven, and you need to have an approach that is adaptable to the inflow of tasks and able to take on tasks that the operations currently require.
MUCF believes in a continued flexible working method with the possibility of partially working remotely based on operational needs. Presence at the office is determined in consultation with the responsible manager based on your personal circumstances and operational needs.
The location is Växjö.
