About us

Nyföretagarcentrum is a non-profit foundation present in over 225 municipalities in Sweden. Each local operation is independent with its own board and financing. All revenue goes directly back to the operations – their mission is to contribute to a stronger business life and a better society.

In Ljungby, we collaborate closely with the municipality and other external partners, all to help new entrepreneurs in the best possible way through guidance, counseling, and attractive offers during the startup phase.

The board has a clear goal: Nyföretagarcentrum should remain strong and locally rooted in Ljungby. Therefore, we are now looking for you, who are ready to take on this exciting assignment where you will support entrepreneurs at the start of their journey.

About the role

We are now looking for a counselor at 20% with a local presence in Ljungby. The assignment involves two main parts:

1. Counseling for new entrepreneurs
This is the core of the assignment. You meet aspiring and new entrepreneurs – physically or digitally – and act as a safe, stable, and experienced conversation partner.

You will:

• Support in business ideas, business plans, and sustainability perspectives
• Guide regarding marketing, sales, economy, and structure
• Give wise tips, thoughts, and ideas and contribute through the knowledge you possess
• Create security for people taking their first steps towards owning a business

We are looking for a generalist – someone with a broad understanding of entrepreneurship, who knows a little about many things.

2. Partner and network work
The second part of the role involves:

• Building and developing local partnerships
• Negotiating offers for new entrepreneurs
• Building a strong contact network and maintaining existing contacts in Ljungby
• Planning, executing, and evaluating network meetings and events
• Participating in local business forums (e.g., breakfast meetings and lunch gatherings)

There is a clear element of sales and relationship building in the assignment.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Runs their own business today (the assignment is a part-time role intended to be combined with other activities)
• Has a well-developed network in Ljungby
• Has experience in sales, business development, or organizational development
• Is secure, stable, humble, and trustworthy
• Is used to working independently
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently

You need to be someone customers can lean on – someone with both feet on the ground and a big heart. At the same time, you need to be proactive and able to challenge and drive the business forward. We would appreciate if you have an understanding of sustainability issues – economically, socially, and environmentally.

You work on-site in Ljungby, with an office at the Business Department of Ljungby Municipality. You collaborate closely with your colleagues and receive support and advice from them.

To become an autonomous counselor, you will undergo a diploma program via Nyföretagarcentrum. This consists of a theoretical part and a test phase. Practice at various offices and the opportunity to sit in on several counseling sessions before you take on your own counseling meetings.

Start-up is upon agreement, but preferably during the spring.
