The Employment and Labour Market Department works to promote the municipality's growth by creating conditions for residents to engage in lifelong learning and achieve self-sufficiency. We focus on competence supply and coordinated operational services for businesses, addressing complex societal challenges with innovative approaches. The department consists of three divisions: Employment, Quality and Coordination, and Campus Trelleborg, and employs approximately 100 dedicated staff members.

The Workplace

We are currently looking for an engaged, positive, and competent SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) teacher who enjoys teaching and wants to contribute to our students' language development and integration. We are looking for someone with energy and social competence to meet individuals with diverse life experiences from around the world, and who is dedicated to helping them succeed.

Responsibilities

We are primarily looking for a teacher for on-site SFI instruction (approx. 80%) combined with a coordination role (approx. 20%).

For this role, you need to be flexible, solution-oriented, and able to see both the big picture and long-term perspectives. You analyze consequences and identify opportunities for development. The role requires you to be highly structured, work in a planning and follow-up manner, and be accustomed to prioritizing even under high pressure. You meet deadlines and are a composed individual.

You are receptive, humble, and build good relationships characterized by trust and confidence. Through collaboration, curiosity, and a student-focused approach, you find ways forward together with colleagues and other internal as well as external actors. You dare to think new thoughts, try and re-evaluate methods, and turn your insights into action.

As a teacher, you have excellent collaboration skills, are responsible, punctual, multilingual, and have good IT proficiency. You are self-assured, communicate directly, and can give and receive constructive feedback that you act upon. You work based on the curriculum to increase goal achievement.

We work with a coaching approach, focusing on the individual's needs and prerequisites on the path to work or further studies.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with at least 30 credits in Swedish as a Second Language.

Your teaching meets the diverse prerequisites of adult students, and you have a good ability to support each student in their progression, as well as in collaboration with staff. Therefore, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Other Information

The position is permanent. The operations are primarily daytime, but occasional evening work may occur as needed. Start date: October 12, 2026, or by agreement.
