The Employment Services Department works to promote the municipality's growth by creating conditions for residents to engage in lifelong learning and achieve self-sufficiency. We do this with a focus on skills supply and coordinated operational services for businesses, addressing complex societal challenges with innovative approaches. The department consists of three divisions: Employment, Quality and Coordination, and Campus Trelleborg, and employs approximately 100 dedicated staff members.

We are now looking for an engaged, positive, and competent SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) teacher who enjoys teaching and wants to contribute to our students' language development and integration. We are looking for you who have energy and social competence to meet individuals with diverse life experiences from all over the world, and who come to school specifically to help them reach their goals.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a substitute teacher for SFI instruction, either in a more permanent setup or an alternative arrangement, for example, with a rotating schedule where you teach an intro group for 3 weeks, followed by focused lessons for 7 weeks.

You have excellent collaboration skills, are responsible, punctual, multilingual, and have good IT proficiency. You are self-assured, communicate directly, and can give and receive constructive feedback that you act upon.

As a substitute teacher in Swedish as a Second Language at SFI, you and your colleagues create a stimulating learning environment for the students. You work based on the curriculum to increase goal achievement.

We work with a coaching approach, focusing on the individual's needs and prerequisites on the path to work or further studies.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with at least 30 credits in Swedish as a Second Language.

Your teaching meets the varying prerequisites of adult students, and you have a good ability to support each student in their progression. Therefore, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Other Information

The position is a temporary assignment from 2026-08-03 to 2027-01-18 due to study leave, and can be either 80% or 100%, depending on competence, schedule, and agreement.
