Carlslundsskolan is a newly built 7–9-year comprehensive school and adapted comprehensive school that opened in autumn 2024. The school has approximately 600 students and approximately 90 staff members. Within our adapted comprehensive school, our students study subjects and/or subject areas. We have well-educated and dedicated staff who work together to ensure our students thrive, succeed, and are challenged.

We are now looking for a student assistant for the comprehensive school!

Your responsibilities

In this position, you will work as a class resource in a lower secondary school class where there are students with epilepsy. Furthermore, your task as a student assistant is to provide students with the prerequisites to participate in joint learning, in various teaching situations, in peer relationships, as well as in everyday activities and in society. You work in close collaboration with your work team and other educators at the school. Tasks may include helping students with the support they need in all learning situations in the classroom and other premises.

About you

You are a secure adult and a good role model. You also have the ability to connect with the students. You see every individual and create a safe environment at school, collaborating with others to achieve set goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support, as you are an important part of their school day.

Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with students and other important professional groups within the target group. You have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude towards children, relatives, and other actors around the students. You are engaged and have a desire to share our values, work towards set goals, and contribute to continuous improvements. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Upper secondary school diploma from the Child and Youth Care program or the Care and Nursing program.
• Experience working with teenagers in need of special support.
• Experience working with children and young people with epilepsy.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• A valid extract from the criminal record registry, in accordance with the Act on Suitability Control.
