Platform Engineer DevOps & Cloud – Stockholm
Set the standard for Keolis' cloud platform and drive DevOps forward!
Keolis is responsible for public transport that moves thousands of people every day. We are now strengthening our Digital Infrastructure team and looking for a Platform Engineer within DevOps & Cloud who wants to build and own the platform that the rest of the organization relies on.
About the role
As a Platform Engineer DevOps & Cloud, you are responsible for building, maintaining, and developing the technical platform that other teams use to run applications and execute projects. This is a brand new role for us, meaning you will help shape it from the ground up. However, you won't be starting from zero, as consultants are on-site to help set a preliminary plan, but you will own the work long-term.
Initially, the focus is on establishing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and setting DevOps best practices for the entire organization. You will work closely with the Delivery Manager for Datacenter & Cloud, the Solution Architect, and the Integration Team, jumping into various configurations as needed. It is a close collaboration with many joint projects, and a role with great scope to contribute your perspective.
Your responsibilities
- Build and maintain IaC using Bicep
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment, testing, and configuration
- Maintain and develop container platforms, primarily Kubernetes
- Establish common templates, pipelines, policies, and tools for the entire organization via GitHub
- Cost optimization and capacity planning in the cloud (Azure)
- Monitor platform availability, capacity, and performance, and implement improvements based on data and incidents
- Build security controls into the platform (security-by-design) in consultation with the CISO and the rest of the team
- Support development teams inside and outside IT with technical hurdles and efficient workflows
We are looking for someone who
- Has post-secondary education in IT, University College degree (YH), or higher
- Has at least 2 years of experience in DevOps combined with other relevant IT experience; we prefer candidates with 5 years of DevOps experience
- Has practical experience with Azure and GitHub (not just Azure DevOps)
- Has worked with Terraform or Bicep
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Experience with Kubernetes is highly meritorious. Experience with on-premises environments and observability platforms like Grafana is also a plus. You may come from a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or developer background; the important thing is that you currently work with platforms and infrastructure and wish to deepen your expertise there.
Who are you?
You are curious, social, and unpretentious but structured. You thrive on setting standards and creating order in technical environments, and you are quick to offer suggestions and feedback without waiting to be asked. You see it as an opportunity to help shape something from the ground up, and you are just as comfortable working independently as you are collaborating closely with other teams.
Why Keolis?
Here, you join a team with a flat hierarchy, a family-like culture, and ample room to influence. We are in an exciting phase where we are stabilizing and modernizing our infrastructure while looking forward to a new tech strategy. There is much to change and great opportunities to take responsibility and leave your mark.
Location
The role is based at our headquarters on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. We work hybrid and expect you to be on-site three days a week.
Application
You apply by sending your CV. A cover letter is not required. We use work psychology tests in the selection process. The position may be filled before the application deadline. Please note that the position is subject to a background check, which is conducted in the final stage of the recruitment process upon your approval.
