Make a difference. Every day.
Are you confident in your professional role and motivated by a workday that is in constant motion? Do you want to influence how we develop our department? At the Acute Surgery and Ear, Nose, and Throat Department (Kava/ENT), we are looking for you who are brave and engaged.
Kava/ENT is currently under development, with the long-term goal of being able to open up to 18-22 beds. We provide advanced and complex care around the clock. It is a challenging yet educational environment where the team around the patient works together towards a common goal.
We place great emphasis on the individual and encourage competence development to foster strong skills within the team. During our development phase, our team will consist of individuals with varying knowledge and experience, setting our goals together. We care about how we treat each other, help each other in daily tasks, and contribute together to a workplace where we thrive and enjoy working.
3 positions.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, we offer you a developing role where you have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and where we drive the operations forward together.
At Kava/ENT, we primarily care for patients with acute surgical diseases and conditions. The most common reasons for admission are various abdominal diagnoses, acute bleeding, and trauma. We also care for a smaller group of patients within the ENT specialty, where diagnoses may include acute conditions, planned surgery, and/or a cancer diagnosis. Our patients may also require tracheostomy care.
Acute nursing also involves pre- and post-operative care. We receive patients at all hours of the day, and most patients are admitted via the emergency department. The department is also responsible for the ENT Emergency Clinic, staffed by doctors and assistant nurses.
Evening, night, and weekend shifts are part of the role. We use a preference-based scheduling system, working two weekends out of five.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position.
We would prefer that you have several years of clinical experience in the profession within emergency care, but this is not a requirement. It is also an advantage if you have experience and/or specialized training in the ENT field and/or surgical emergency care. If you have supervisor training and/or experience in supervision, this is also an advantage for the position.
You see the value of good collaboration and contribute to this by sharing your knowledge and experiences. Your engagement and positive attitude contribute to a good work climate, where we all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best care quality for our patients. In our daily work, changes often occur quickly; dealing with these and adapting to a new situation requires skills such as overview, planning, and prioritization. To succeed in your role as a nurse with us, flexibility is an important trait to possess. At our workplace, every patient is unique and important, so we are keen to find the right person for the position and therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We apply rolling selection in this recruitment. You are warmly welcome to submit your application today. We look forward to getting to know you!
