We at Attendo are now looking for a care assistant for Tunagården in Romme.

Tunagården is a specialized housing facility for the elderly, located at Forsbackavägen 2 in Borlänge, Dalarna. The facility is operated by Attendo Sweden on behalf of Borlänge Municipality and opened in September 2025. The residence offers modern care in a calm, nature-friendly environment on Tunaslätten, with a focus on security, participation, and quality of life.

Tunagården is Silviahemscertified, which means the staff has been trained in dementia care according to Silviahemmet's care philosophy. Each resident is assigned a personal contact person, and care is planned in collaboration with a team consisting of a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. The goal is individualized and secure care with respect for habits and wishes.

About the role

As a care assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for our customers. You are responsible for providing good care and support to our customers. Creating a positive and social atmosphere during mealtimes is a large part of your role, as well as contributing to various activities that brighten the everyday life of our elderly residents.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

  • Personal care according to the facility's routines, starting from the customer's individual needs and wishes.
  • Assisting with preparing, cooking, and serving meals, cleaning, laundry, etc., as needed.
  • Performing documentation and working based on decided measures.
  • Collaborating with external and internal contacts such as guardians, relatives, residents, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Care assistant education of at least 1350 credits.
  • Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as a care assistant.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written).
  • Good computer skills/computer literacy.

Meritorious:

  • Experience from care work in elderly care.
  • Experience with delegation.

About the recruitment process

Before any employment, an extract from the criminal record register together with valid photo ID must be presented. If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
