About the Role

Do you want to lead and develop a central procurement function in one of Sweden's most socially vital operations? We are now looking for a Unit Manager who wants to contribute both strategically and operationally to our procurement organization at Ringhals.

About Us

The Ringhals procurement unit is responsible for tenders with very high values every year and thus has a significant impact on the operation's financial results. The unit also works with supplier assessments and supplier evaluations to ensure sustainable and business-like collaborations.

We collaborate extensively with our counterparts at Forsmark Kraftgrupp AB, which creates good opportunities for knowledge exchange and joint development.

About the Role

As Unit Manager for Procurement, you lead a team of approximately 15 employees. The team consists of buyers working within both strategic and operational procurement as well as in project operations, and the group also includes supplier assessors. You have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating the unit's work within procurement and material supply. You play a key role in driving work forward in an operation where safety, quality, and long-term perspective are in focus.

You create clear priorities, drive engagement, and develop employee competence. Through clear and present leadership, you create the conditions for the team to work towards set goals and deliver with high quality.

The role combines strategic responsibility with operational presence, meaning you contribute to daily work while driving development and change.

Your Areas of Responsibility

In the role, you lead both operations and employees, creating conditions for an efficient and sustainable procurement function. You lead, develop, and coordinate procurement, goods receiving and transport, warehousing, and spare parts supply, which includes, among other things:

  • Develop and drive procurement strategies
  • Plan and conduct tenders as well as handle agreements and contracts
  • Work with strategic supplier development and supplier assessment
  • Contribute to the acquisition of services and materials as needed, both strategically and operationally
  • Coordinate work related to goods receiving, transport, and warehousing
  • Handle Ringhals' need to sell or rent out materials or services

You are part of the management group where you contribute to the strategic development of the operation, while being close to the operational delivery.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have a strong interest in leadership and a desire to develop both operations and employees. You thrive in a role where you get to combine strategic thinking with operational work.

We see that you have:

  • Experience in procurement, preferably within process industry, energy, or other complex operations
  • Post-secondary education, preferably within procurement, logistics, or economics
  • Good ability to drive change and development work
  • Good collaboration skills and a structured working method
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English

Previous management experience is meritorious but not a requirement – we place great emphasis on your leadership potential.
