Are you interested in sports and outdoor activities and have experience working in a retail environment, preferably in large-scale operations with similar products? Do you thrive on delivering top-notch customer service and feel confident with sales and service? Then perhaps we are looking for you for the position of temporary store employee at our store in Varberg!

We are looking for an engaged and positive employee with experience in retail work, preferably with handling large product flows and seasonal products. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are used to working towards key figures, while always keeping the customer in focus. As a store employee at Sportshopen, you will become part of a happy and wonderful team working together to reach new goals.

Responsibilities💻

As a store employee with us, you always meet our customers with a happy smile and give them the best possible service experience. The tasks include cash register work, signage, price marking, unpacking and restocking goods, as well as keeping the store tidy. You also have an eye for product display and ensure that the right item is always in the right place.

Qualifications🏆

We are looking for you who have experience working in retail, preferably with a focus on sports or outdoor products. You are comfortable handling large product flows and seasonal changes and have experience working with product placement and re-hanging. Working towards sales targets and working with upselling is something you feel confident about.

You have previously worked with placement responsibility in retail and are used to planning and optimizing product display. Experience with placement responsibility in apparel is highly meritorious.

Conditions🤝🏼

The position is a temporary assignment of 80% employment starting on September 1st and extending to summer 2028 with a chance of extension.

We apply wages according to the collective agreement with the Swedish Union for Shop and Office Employees (Handelsanställdas förbund).

We may conduct credit checks as well as extract from the criminal record of the applicant.

Swedemount Sportswear & Fashion AB was founded in 1991 and today has 23 stores under the name Sportshopen as well as one store under the name Bazar. In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 sqm automated warehouse and offices. In Grebbestad on the west coast lies our headquarters and our largest store, which is the largest sports store in the Nordics at 14,000 sqm.

Our stores are located around Sweden, from north to south, with an expanding e-commerce that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is today one of the larger individual actors in Sweden in terms of sales within sports and leisure. Our assortment consists mainly of clothes and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands – clothes that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
