Annually, Falkenberg Municipality purchases goods, services, and contracts for multi-million sums. Therefore, efficient, commercial, and strategic procurement and tendering work is an important tool for achieving the municipality's goals and contributing to sustainable development. Today, we are a department consisting of 15 people. In addition to five other procurement officers, a Business Manager for Procurement, and a Manager for Purchasing and Procurement, we also have a Business Manager for E-commerce, an E-commerce Coordinator, an E-administrator, a Purchasing Analyst, a Contract Controller, a Purchaser specializing in direct procurement, and two Development Managers for Sustainability.
We are now looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team, who together with us wants to strengthen and contribute to the implementation of good, sustainable business practices.

Job Description
The role of Procurement Officer involves stimulating, developmental, and enjoyable work where you will be offered challenging and engaging tasks with the opportunity to make a significant difference and to develop yourself and our operations in the field of purchasing and procurement, with a focus on commercial viability.
The role includes actively working on and proposing developments and improvements to our processes related to purchasing and procurement. As a Procurement Officer, you work as an independent project manager and assist our departments and companies in tenders throughout the entire process, from needs and market analysis, procurement strategy, to the actual procurement work. Coordinating tenders with other municipalities in the county is also part of the role.
Active and continuous contract follow-up, as well as advice on procurement and contract matters to the various operations within the municipal group, are also included in the role. The dialogue with our departments, companies, and suppliers is crucial and is an important part of your daily work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone ready to develop our purchasing and procurement work. We therefore see that you are a person who actively explores new perspectives within the framework of procurement regulations.
- You have experience with IT procurement – both systems, hardware, and services – but also have experience with qualified procurement work in other areas.
- You have good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
- You have conducted your own tenders of varying complexity and character.
- Experience from municipalities and/or municipal companies is an advantage.
- You have a university degree or university college education in procurement, IT, law, or other education that the employer considers comparable.
- You have project management experience and good process understanding.
Your previous experience in the field means you can quickly get into the work. It is important that you are self-reliant and have a structured work approach to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. Since the tasks place high demands on quality, constructive problem-solving, and commercial viability, it is a prerequisite that you are meticulous and have good analytical skills. You are unpretentious, driven, and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships.
You have good communication skills, both oral and written in Swedish, and preferably also in English. You can explain what you want to convey from different perspectives and to different target groups. You are comfortable participating in and leading various forums with both internal and external actors. Through dialogue, inclusion, and creativity, you inspire and motivate others.
