We are looking for a Data Protection Coordinator at Skånetrafiken

Do you want to be part of creating safe and secure handling of personal data in a complex and socially important operation? We are now looking for a Data Protection Coordinator who wants to take a central role in strengthening and developing our work within data protection.

In connection with an organizational restructuring, the new department HR and Security and Preparedness has been formed with two units: HR and Security and Preparedness. The Security and Preparedness unit is responsible for Skånetrafiken's data protection, information security work, operational security work, and security protection work. This also includes Skånetrafiken's operational duty service. Due to the current external situation, there is therefore a need to continue strengthening the unit's areas of operation, and we look forward to welcoming more employees to our unit.

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Protection Coordinator, you collaborate with various parts of the organization and contribute to structured and proactive data protection work, from analyzing personal data handling to incident management and training initiatives.

The responsibilities include developing governing and guiding documents in the field with the aim of translating regulatory requirements into working methods in the operation. You support the operation in risk assessments and reported personal data incidents. Furthermore, you lead the work with compliance regarding data protection within the operation. You are expected to continuously report risks and similar issues to the operation's security manager.

The position also involves:

  • Coordinating, driving, and developing the administration's work with data protection.
  • Responsible for following up on the administration's data protection work according to region-wide governing documents.
  • Providing practical advice and support to the operation in data protection matters.
  • Driving the development of the data protection process in accordance with current legislation.
  • Informing and training within the field of data protection.
  • Participating in collaboration forums and being the contact person for external authorities and organizations within data protection.
  • Representing the administration in Region Skåne's data protection forum.
  • Supporting the operation's work with risk analyses related to data protection issues.
  • Acting as risk analysis leader and leading risk workshops.
  • Supporting information security functions in questions regarding data protection and impact assessments.
  • Responsible for the handling of personal data incidents.
  • Developing governing documents, instructions, and routines for data protection.

As a Data Protection Officer at Skånetrafiken, you have a broad regional network and work in close collaboration with Data Protection Officers within Region Skåne's other operations. In addition, you participate in national networks for the data protection area within public transport.

Our new modern headquarters in Hässleholm provides space for flexible working methods and cross-functional meetings. Here you work activity-based and choose your workstation based on your immediate needs. You have the opportunity to distribute your work week between remote work and on-site work. Our headquarters is located adjacent to the central station. You can easily travel here by train or bus from all over Skåne.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with several years of experience in working with operational systematic data protection work. Additionally, we see that you have previous experience working in a regulated operation. You have good knowledge of current data protection legislation and have an interest in both practical and legal aspects of data protection. It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

We see it as an advantage if you have experience leading workshops, risk analyses, and information classifications. If you have knowledge of regulations such as the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL), it is meritorious. Likewise, we would like you to have worked with compliance follow-up, and if you have a university degree or equivalent in information security, law, or another area that the employer deems equivalent, it is meritorious.

As a person, we see that you are structured with good documentation skills and are confident in working with governance and regulations. Since an important part of your task is to create regulatory compliance in data protection work throughout the organization, it is a requirement that you are communicative, pedagogical, and a good relationship builder. This means you have the ability to motivate, engage, and create understanding even among target groups with varying levels of knowledge and interest. You are analytical and have a good ability to transform strategy into practical applications. You thrive in a role where you get to work independently with responsibility for your own delivery but also collaborate within your team and in the organization at large. It is a requirement that you are driven, results-oriented, and can look up and see the big picture. We place great importance on personal suitability.
