Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND) is being established as part of this reform. We are building a completely new agency that will contribute to strengthening the Swedish intelligence community.

Description

We are looking for a Signal and Security Protection Operator to maintain the agency's information security.

Responsibilities

The central responsibilities involve operationally maintaining the agency's information security and signal security operations. The role includes providing support for, managing, and administering signal security systems and cryptographic materials. You will also contribute to establishing routines and working methods within information security and signal security. As the agency grows, the scope of responsibility will develop.

Qualifications

You have post-secondary education in IT, information security, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer, as well as experience in operational security work. You are trained in signal security and have experience working in a signal security organization. You have good knowledge of security protection legislation and the handling of security classified information.

It is considered an advantage if you have completed signal security training at the Swedish Defence Research Agency's Signal Security School or equivalent. It is also advantageous if you have experience in administering signal security systems and cryptographic materials, as well as experience with information classification and information security work according to established frameworks. Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces, other security agencies, or intelligence operations is a plus.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and have a strong sense of rules. You have good judgment, can make correct assessments, and handle sensitive information with integrity. You work in a structured manner, are team-oriented, and thrive in an environment under construction. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Other Information

The position is a permanent employment. Initially, you will be employed in the committee tasked with establishing the agency. Probation may apply. The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.

The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen to be employed by UND.

About the Department

The Department for Security, Premises, and Preparedness plays a central role in creating the conditions for the agency to have the security and security protection that the operations require. The department is responsible for leading and coordinating the agency's security and security protection work, which includes regulations and guidelines in the area as well as conducting training. Follow-up, development, and control in close collaboration with operations are important tasks for the department. The department will consist of employees within security and security protection, as well as a unit for premises supply and a function for preparedness. Additional units within the department may become relevant.

Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND) is a new agency that will begin its operations on January 1, 2027, and then gradually grow.

UND will be a national intelligence resource that supports Swedish foreign, security, and defense policy in times of peace, crisis, and war. By detecting, identifying, and warning of external threats, the agency will promote Sweden's national security interests and the security of our allies. The agency's task is to support the Government, the Government Offices, and other agencies.

The agency will be located in the Stockholm area.
