Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND) – the Swedish Foreign Intelligence Service – is being established as part of this reform. We are building a brand-new agency that will contribute to strengthening the Swedish intelligence community.

Description

We are looking for a Network Technician to build and operate the agency's network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The central responsibilities involve building and maintaining the agency's network. The role includes working with network architecture, security, and zoning, as well as the practical installation, configuration, and management of switches, firewalls, and other network equipment. As the agency grows, the scope of responsibility will also develop.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with post-secondary education in IT or another field deemed equivalent by the employer, as well as several years of experience operating networks in a large organization. You have good knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and network security.

It is an advantage if you have experience building network environments from scratch, as well as experience with network segmentation and zoning in environments with high security requirements. Experience in IT security work, completion of signals security training, knowledge of automation and scripting for network operations, and experience with government operations or security-classified environments are also considered merits.

Other Information

The position is a permanent employment, and initially, you will be employed in the committee tasked with establishing the agency. Probation may apply.

The position is security-classified, and a security clearance check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen to be employed at UND.

About the IT Infrastructure Unit

The IT Infrastructure Unit has overall responsibility for the agency's entire IT infrastructure. The unit develops the agency's IT strategy and is characterized by innovation and digital transformation. IT security and help desk services are also central parts of the unit's work.

About Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND)

Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND) is a new agency that will begin its operations on January 1, 2027, and will subsequently grow gradually.

UND will serve as a national intelligence resource supporting Swedish foreign, security, and defense policy in times of peace, crisis, and war. By detecting, identifying, and warning of external threats, the agency will promote Sweden's national security interests and the security of our allies. The agency's task is to support the Government, the Government Offices, and other agencies.

The agency will be located in the Stockholm area.
