The Student Services Division is part of the University Administration and is tasked with providing support and services to students before, during, and after their studies, as well as handling student cases. The division also provides operational support to the university's departments, faculties, areas, and management. With a focus on educational quality, the activities of the Student Services Division are characterized by professionalism, efficiency, legal certainty, and accessibility.

Within the Admissions and Student Communication Section, which is part of the Student Services Division, responsibilities include admissions, tuition fees, and the Swedish Higher Education Entrance Test, as well as the student communication group. The Student Services Division consists of approximately 150 employees in total, and operations are conducted at the Student House on the university campus.

We are currently looking for two driven admissions officers for the Student Services Division on a fixed-term contract. Here, you will have the opportunity to be part of an academic environment in an independent role with many contact points.

Job Description

As an admissions officer, your main responsibility is to process applications for courses and programs at the first-cycle and second-cycle levels. A significant part of this work involves assessing qualifications from both national and international applicants and making decisions based on current regulations.

The group's work is characterized by collaboration, participation, and working towards common goals. The role also involves continuous contact with departments and students. In addition, you are expected to participate in other routine tasks within the Student Services Division.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• An academic degree or other experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience working as a case officer in education, admissions, or another relevant area.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• Work experience at a government agency.
• Good knowledge of educational administrative processes at a higher education institution.
• Assessment of international upper secondary and academic qualifications.
• Experience with the admissions system NyA.
• Experience with Ladok.

Personal Attributes

To succeed in this role, we see that you are good at working independently, have an aptitude for building relationships, and possess very strong communication skills. You should also be able to collaborate easily, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.

About the Position

The position is full-time and fixed-term until 2027-08-31. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
