Do you want a job that makes a real difference, in one of Sweden's most beautiful environments? We are now looking for a personal assistant for a man living in Saxnäs.

The position is a permanent part-time role (50%), with a probationary period possible. We also seek hourly substitutes as needed.

Job Responsibilities

You will work together with a team of experienced assistants. The man you assist describes himself as a social and humble person with a great deal of humor and a twinkle in his eye.

He appreciates a good atmosphere in everyday life, has good cognitive abilities, and expresses himself independently.

Since the man has a visual and hearing impairment, your communication will take place through hand-signing (hand-over-hand signing) and via haptic signals. This is a unique skill that you will learn thoroughly through a secure on-site induction. Previous experience is advantageous, but your commitment and attitude are most important!

The work involves:

• Supporting the man in daily life with a positive and engaged approach.
• Acting as his extended senses by conveying visual and auditory impressions.
• Assisting with simple household chores.
• Accompanying him as support during activities, trips, and errands.

Working hours are scheduled during the day and on weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is self-assured, sensitive, and caring. You have a calm demeanor, take responsibility, and contribute to a good work environment.

You must speak and write Swedish fluently to be able to convey impressions from the surroundings.

A valid B-driver's license is required.

Advantageous:

• Experience within LSS (Swedish Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or personal assistance.
• Previous knowledge of sign language communication/haptics.

Conditions

An extract from the police criminal record is required prior to employment.
