We are looking for a Social Pedagogue at Snapphaneskolan in Knislinge

About the Position

Responsibilities
We are looking for you, a social pedagogue, who can work with preventive and strengthening efforts regarding students in the school. Your work is primarily directed towards grades 7–9. You will collaborate closely with our social pedagogue, who focuses on grades 4–6. You will also be part of our social team, led by our school counselor.
In your role as a social pedagogue, you will be responsible for working with students on conflict management, which includes developing our students' social skills. You will participate in the preventive and promoting work within the school's anti-bullying efforts. You will assist in investigating harassment cases, be responsible for absence investigations, and develop methods to continuously follow up on these cases. Documentation is required in this work.
You will also be responsible for the school's safety work by organizing student social activities and other group-strengthening activities. You play an important role in the school's attendance work.
You are part of our student health team, which includes the principal, deputy principal, school psychologist, school nurse, school counselors, special education teacher, and our other social pedagogue. All, except our school psychologist, are stationed at our school and are therefore a natural part of daily operations. Our student health team meets every week.
You have the competence to support students, teachers, and guardians in social issues and to act as a link between home and school. You will work with psychosocial issues, promoting/preventive work, incident cases, group dynamics work, student conversations, value-based issues, presence during breaks and in other environments, with a focus on relationship building with students.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an education as a social pedagogue, social worker, or another education that the employer considers equivalent. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group, as well as if you are familiar with the school's governing documents.
To succeed in the role, you must be a calm and secure person with high personal maturity. The tasks place high demands on your ability to take initiative, act quickly, document, work flexibly, and have good collaboration skills. It is necessary that you are confident in your profession; therefore, we believe you have a few years of experience in qualified work where your role has been to support, coach, and lead individuals and groups in various social issues. It is necessary that you are a person who does not give up, but has the ability to persist and endure in your work.
You have the ability to structure, plan, and prioritize your tasks yourself and are accustomed to working independently. You have a well-developed communicative and pedagogical ability, and we also believe you have a high ability to develop good relationships.
You have good computer skills and are well-versed in the Office package. If you have worked with school-related activity systems, it is meritorious.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and express yourself well in both speech and writing. If you are multilingual, it is meritorious.
An extract from the police record for preschool and school must be presented before employment can be offered.
