Your new job

Sanda Högstadium is a school for grades 7–9, and we are currently looking for a teacher who can teach Home Economics and Consumer Studies, preferably in one additional subject. As a teacher at Sanda Högstadium, it is an advantage if you have an interest in sports, as a large portion of the students are admitted via a sports profile.

You will be part of a teaching team in grade 7, participating in the team's collaborative work and contributing to collegial cooperation to ensure a good learning environment. Additionally, you will collaborate with other staff at the school and make sure to stay updated as a teacher and in your subject through environmental scanning, further education, and collegial learning. Your duties include teaching at the upper secondary level (grades 7–9), as well as teaching in grade 6 and acting as a mentor. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your teaching.

The position is a permanent employment if you are a qualified teacher. Start date by agreement.

Welcome to us

Sanda Education Centre in Huskvarna consists of four different school forms: upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adapted primary school, and upper secondary school (grades 7–9). Over 1,400 students study here. Between these four school forms, we have close cooperation regarding staff and facilities.

The upper secondary school at Sanda has had a clear sports focus since its inception over 10 years ago and will continue to do so as we grow. Since the autumn term of 2025, approximately half of the students in grade 7 are admitted from a catchment area, and half are admitted via special sports admission. Health and sports are part of our DNA, and we value sustainable health for both students and staff.

Your qualifications

You have the qualifications to teach grades 7–9 in Home Economics and Consumer Studies, preferably in one additional subject. You are aware of the importance of adapting teaching to meet the needs and prerequisites of all students and wish to take responsibility for both your teaching and common issues at the school. A clear starting point in the work is always striving to create good relationships with the students. We see that you have the ability to work both independently and in groups, and are skilled at communicating with guardians, students, and school staff.
