Engaged Student Assistant for Rullen's Adapted Primary School – Are you the one we are looking for?

Rullen is an adapted primary and upper secondary school aimed at students from preschool class through upper secondary school with intellectual and physical disabilities. Rullen offers an environment based on the belief that all children can develop. We admit between 23-25 students.

Rullen offers: Preschool class, grade 1-9 adapted primary school, adapted upper secondary school, after-school care, and short-term supervision under Section 9 of the LSS Act (complement to school).

About you

As a student assistant at Rullen, you work to support the students throughout the entire school and after-school day. You help them with care, toilet visits, feeding, mobility, during lessons, and during medical care. You are a relationship-oriented person who sees each individual student. You actively work to make the students participants in their learning. You are engaged and interested in development, both for the students, the organization, and your own development.

You are innovative and flexible, with the ability to capture the moment as it is and make the best of the situation based on Rullen's culture and structure. You want to grow and develop to always experience safety in all situations.

To be successful in the role, you must be able to communicate with people from different backgrounds and in different life situations. You can work independently and take responsibility. We are looking for a student assistant who is passionate about students with multiple disabilities and who wants to contribute to ensuring that Rullen's students receive world-class education! This means you have a strong commitment to both the students' well-being and development as well as the organization's continuous improvements.

About the role

• You have a genuine interest in care and are confident in providing support with personal hygiene, meals, and other daily needs.
• You have a good ability to create good relationships with students and allow them to participate so that they develop skills, self-confidence, and joy of life.
• You are part of the work team that contributes to ensuring that Rullen's students receive education that leads to new abilities and understanding of norms and values.
• You keep up to date by participating in the courses and training offered.
• Swimming and horse riding are part of the education, which is why you must not be allergic, and you see water activities with the students (in the swimming pool) as a positive part of your workday.

Your qualifications

Education

• Upper secondary education within social work and care, such as nurse assistant education or childcare education.

Competencies

• Trained nurse assistant or childcare worker or similar, or alternatively other experience acquired for the position.
• Good communication skills.
• You are an active adult together with Rullen's students and can take safety measures.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken.

Dibber was established in Sweden in 2017 and currently operates preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, and open preschools. Dibber's headquarters are located in Sollentuna, with operations in large parts of Sweden.
