About the role

As a fiber technician at Optolight, you will become a vital part of the company's continued growth journey. You will work with the installation, splicing, measurement, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks in various project environments. The role offers significant freedom under responsibility, allowing you to work both independently and together with colleagues in the field.

The work is primarily carried out in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, but travel to other parts of the country may occur. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00, but variations may occur depending on the scope of projects, geographical location, and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic networks
• Perform fiber splicing and joining
• Measure, verify, and troubleshoot fiber networks
• Document completed work according to established procedures
• Work closely with customers and partners on project sites

We are looking for you who

• Have experience working in fiber technology or similar technical operations and are ready to take the next step in your career
• Have experience performing fiber splicing
• Hold a valid driver's license (Category B) for business travel
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The following qualifications are a plus:

• You live in or have connections to Piteå
