About the role

As a fiber technician at Optolight, you will become an important part of the company's continued growth journey. You will work with the installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks in various project environments. The role offers great freedom under responsibility, allowing you to work both independently and together with colleagues in the field.

The work is primarily carried out in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, but travel to other parts of the country may occur. Working hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00, but deviations may occur depending on the scope of the projects, geographical location, and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic networks
• Perform fiber splicing and joining
• Test, verify, and troubleshoot fiber networks
• Document completed work according to established procedures
• Work closely with customers and partners on-site at projects

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience working in fiber technology or similar technical operations and is ready to take the next step in your career
• Has experience performing fiber splicing
• Hold a B-class driver's license for travel in the role
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you:

• Live in or have connections to Piteå
