Student Assistant at International English School (IES) Lund

International English School (IES) Lund is a school for grades 4–9 with approximately 700 students and 80 employees. At our school, teachers can focus on teaching, students are given the opportunity to learn, and everyone enjoys coming to school every day. The school has an international orientation, and instruction is conducted in both English and Swedish. We strive to ensure that learning and knowledge are prioritized. Your Role as a Student Assistant

We are currently seeking a student assistant for the intermediate school level (grades 4–6) for the academic year 2026/2027. In your role as a student assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide support in daily life for students with various challenges. This involves being available to students during lessons, during transitions, at recess, and during meal times at both the school and the after-school center.

You are responsible for ensuring that students are engaged in their learning according to their own prerequisites. It is important that you recognize the different needs of the students, take their individual conditions into account, and help them grow and develop. The goal is to increase the students' independence and promote inclusion to the greatest extent possible.

About You

We are looking for you who have relevant education to work as a student assistant. Experience working with children with challenges is desirable, as is pedagogical experience that enables you to adapt support to the correct level. Documented knowledge regarding Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF diagnoses), good collaboration skills, a solution-focused approach, and curiosity are advantageous.

Terms of Employment

The position is a temporary full-time position (100%) serving as a substitute for annual leave, with a start date to be agreed upon. The salary is based on agreement and individual assessment. A collective agreement applies. An extract from the Swedish Police Authority's register of convictions (belastningsregistret) regarding work in schools and preschools is required for employment.
