We are looking for a qualified teacher for lower secondary school (grades 7-9) in Swedish, with experience working in a studio operation, a flexible small teaching group, or with students in need of special support at the lower secondary level. At our school, you will find:

You will be part of our working group for grades 7-9, which consists of skilled and dedicated personnel such as educators, student support staff, special needs pedagogues, counselors, and study and career guidance counselors. Together, we work to give all students good opportunities to develop towards the goals of the education. There is a very good atmosphere within the working group.

We are now looking for a teacher for a small teaching group for grades 7-9. The students belong to their regular classes but receive support primarily in core subjects in a smaller setting. This is a one-year temporary position as our current teacher in the studio has applied for study leave. We are looking for someone who can work 90-100% distributed over five days.

You put the student at the center and are a clear leader with good pedagogical skills. You easily build good relationships with students and are sensitive to the needs of the students and the operation.

As a person, you are positive, solution-focused, and flexible. You are a good role model for students, and your values align well with those of Västbergaskolan.

The position includes support and teaching primarily in core subjects, partially planned by regular subject teachers. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge in Swedish, English, and Mathematics, even if you do not have qualifications in all three of these subjects for lower secondary school. In this position, you will meet students with dyslexia, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders (NPD), so you need to be familiar with how to concretize teaching so that it leads to learning for the student. You make the teaching accessible and have a strength-based approach to students.

Together with other educators, you work to ensure that every student has the opportunity to develop as much as possible. You are accustomed to collaborating with other teachers, planning lessons, and working with assessment and formative feedback.

You are also responsible for holiday school during the spring semester of 2027 together with another teacher.
