We are now looking for you, a psychiatric nurse, who wants to work in a dynamic and varied environment providing highly specialized care within child and adolescent psychiatry (CAP). Here, you will have the opportunity to rotate between our mobile team, the emergency department, and the acute care ward, which provides a unique variation in work and broadens your competence. This means that one day you might be out visiting patients in their home environments, and the next day handling acute admissions on the ward. About our open position

To our emergency unit for children and adolescents, we are now looking for you who are interested in working with children, adolescents, and families from a child psychiatric perspective. As a psychiatric nurse with us, you will work on our acute ward, where we have six care beds, as well as in our emergency department where we conduct acute assessments around the clock. The future plan is to launch an intermediate care team that will work with intensive treatment in day-care form, as well as a mobile team aimed at providing adequate help and support at home. This team will be staffed by personnel from the emergency unit for children and adolescents. We will collaborate extensively within the unit to provide the best possible care for the adolescents and their families. In the unit, you will work together with the unit manager, chief physician, resident doctors, social worker, mental health care assistants, nursing assistants, and secretaries.

About us

The emergency unit is currently undergoing inspiring and challenging development work, and since autumn 2020, we have been located in completely new and adapted premises in the Psychiatry Quarter. We work actively with other partners such as schools, social services, and pediatric medicine, and we see the importance of good collaboration for our patients and their families. The unit provides care under the Mental Health Act (LPT).

Your profile

You who are applying are a registered nurse with specialist education in psychiatry. Experience from child and adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, or work with children and adolescents is meritorious. For the position, it is required that you have good collaboration skills while being confident in yourself and able to work independently. Great importance will be attached to your personal suitability.
