Djurö School is one of four schools within the principal area of Värmdö Archipelago Schools. In addition to Djurö School, the area includes Möja School, Runmarö School, and Svartsö School. The geographical area of the principal's jurisdiction begins at Fågelbrolandet in Strömma, extends out towards the sea, and encompasses all islands without bridge connections. You will work at Djurö School, which is a comprehensive school (grades 1-9) with approximately 300 students and is located on the mainland.

You will primarily teach in grades 7-9. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the teaching in the groups you teach. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in your work team, as well as other educators, school leaders, and the student health team at Djurö, regarding matters such as planning and student health. As a teacher in Värmdö Archipelago Schools, the mission is to ensure goal achievement for all students.
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Natural Sciences subjects and preferably another subject. You have well-graded experience in pedagogical work with students. You have a conscious pedagogical approach where student participation and responsibility are a given. It is important that you are confident in your professional role and clear in your communication with children, parents, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on social competencies and personal suitability.
The employment concerns a part-time position of 70-80% and is a permanent position with an start date of August 11, 2026, or as agreed. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, so please register your application as soon as possible. The position may be filled by surplus personnel from Värmdö Municipality.
For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
