Tanum Municipality is looking for a support assistant for Höjdens service housing. The position is permanent, full-time (100%), with a start date of September 1st or as agreed.

Höjdens housing is located in Tanum Municipality. It is a service housing facility with special services according to the LSS Act (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), aimed at adults with disabilities. We are now looking for a colleague who, together with us, will contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

The core of the role as a support assistant is to create meaning, independence, and personal development for the residents of the service housing. Through a pedagogical and creative approach, we strive to promote the residents' quality of life, with an active and meaningful daily life created based on the residents' individual needs and conditions. You will follow established work routines, participate in collaboration, operational, and workplace meetings, be engaged in driving the operations forward, and promote cooperation and a good group dynamic in the workplace. Working hours vary between daytime, weekend, and evening shifts, as well as on-call duties.

Qualifications

The educational requirement is the Care and Nursing Programme with the courses "Social Pedagogy" and "Special Pedagogy 2", or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social work with the courses "Basic Care and Nursing", "Special Pedagogy 1", and "Special Pedagogy 2". Additionally, passing grades in Swedish 1 and Social Studies at the upper secondary level are required. Alternatively, other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You should have experience from work within the operational area. The work is varied, which requires you to have a high degree of empathy, initiative, flexibility, and patience. You must have good skills in handling difficult situations while maintaining a strong belief in people's ability to change and develop. Therefore, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. We assume that you have a professional attitude towards our target group. Documentation and administrative tasks are computerized, so it is important that you are computer literate and can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We require you to have a B-class driver's license.
