About the Social Services Administration

The mandate of the Social Services Administration is to meet people's need for security. The administration shall work to ensure that the municipality's residents receive social care in various forms, with a special responsibility to safeguard the needs and interests of vulnerable groups. We constantly work for good quality that benefits the users of our services.

Responsibilities

The work involves meetings with children, young people, and families, where documentation is an important part. We investigate cases with support from the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young People (LVU), and we work according to the Child's Needs in the Center (BBIC) model. You will also collaborate with other groups within IFO-MyA, other authorities, and organizations. The work also includes a certain amount of preventive work. Travel is included in the job.

In the Child and Family Group, scheduled time for reflection and environmental monitoring is currently included. As an employee in the Child and Family Group, you are offered an introduction program and mentoring, competence development (Kiruna Municipality is part of Yrkesresan), and external supervision.

Qualifications

For the position of temporary social secretary in the child and family group, a degree in social work or a university education that meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations (SOSFS 2014:7) regarding eligibility to perform certain tasks in social services' child and youth care is required. Experience in similar work is meritorious.

We look for someone with a holistic view and the ability to get parts to work together, as well as commitment and a willingness to develop. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Terms and Benefits

Employment starts according to agreement. The temporary position is fixed-term and valid until December 31, 2026. The form of employment is fixed-term.
