Vallsjöskolan is a preschool to grade 6 school located centrally in the town of Sävsjö. Approximately 320 students attend the school, and around 55 staff members work there. The school offers strong collegial support as we mentor, challenge, and listen to each other. We are looking for you who love working with children and want to make a difference.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking a student assistant with experience in student-facing work with students in need of special support. Here, you will work in a team where there is close collaboration with the Student Health Service, which plays a significant role in meeting all students' needs for support and adjustments at both group and individual levels.

In the role of student assistant, you work with students both during the school day and in the after-school care activities. You work both individually with students or with students in small groups, and your task is to guide and support students throughout the day. Through low-affective interaction, clarifying pedagogy, and conversations with the students, you work to create security and develop the student's social development and learning. In collaboration with other staff, you work to promote the student's meaningfulness, comprehensibility, and manageability throughout the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a student assistant education or other education that can be assessed as equivalent. You have a genuine interest in children's learning and have the child's best interest at the forefront. You have a health-promoting and solution-focused approach, as well as the ability to create good and trusting relationships.

You have good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. You build good relationships with guardians to promote cooperation between school and home. A desire to develop yourself and the operations is important at our school. You have good knowledge of meeting students' different needs, handling unpredictable situations, and being open to changes. You have a calm and patient approach and a desire to always keep the child's best interest in focus.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-17.
Working hours: Daytime.

Permanent employees in Sävsjö Municipality are war-placed at their regular workplace. In the event of heightened alert, danger of war, or war, the employee shall report to their regular workplace.
