Linblomman School is a preschool to year 6 school located four kilometers southwest of Umeå city center. A school that is just the right size to make new friends, and small enough so that every student is seen! With us, digital tools are a natural part of the work. We are now looking for a Special Needs Teacher!
Employment Information
The position is a permanent, full-time employment, starting in August or as agreed. This is a holiday cover position.
Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a Special Needs Teacher for our special education groups for students in grades 4–9 with a focus on autism. The groups consist of approximately 6 students per group and have a large catchment area within the municipality. You will be part of a team together with other teachers connected to the operation, and you will work together to create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment for the students. The daily work includes close collaboration with guardians.
The assignment includes teaching, planning, follow-up, and documentation of students' learning and development. You are also responsible for coordinating and following up on students' development and support situations within the framework of USS (Assessment, Support, and Support) work. Central to the assignment is collaboration with guardians, student health services, and external actors such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), social services, and healthcare. The position includes supervision of our own organization at the school. Due to the unique competence of the unit, guidance and support to other schools in need of special pedagogical competence may also be relevant.
About You
As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support, as you are a very important part of their school day. Based on your profession, you have good knowledge of students' development and learning, and can identify and work based on the individual's needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with students and other important professional groups for the target group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements
- Trained Special Needs Teacher with eligibility for primary school
- Has or has applied for teacher certification
- Experience in teaching
- Valid extract from the criminal record register, in accordance with the law on suitability control
- Unimpeded knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
Merits
