Odensalaskolan is Östersund Municipality's largest primary school, with over 600 students from preschool class to grade 9. The school is newly built, and the last students moved in as recently as autumn 2023. Your new job

We are now looking for you who are a teacher with qualifications in mathematics for grades 7–9 to join Odensalaskolan for a temporary position for the autumn term 2026, with a desired start in August. The position is 40%.

You will be part of a team of teachers where you will jointly plan and be responsible for the students' education and development. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach mathematics to primary school students, educating and supporting them in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.

Common tasks

• Plan and conduct teaching according to the curriculum
• Collaborate with the work team regarding teaching
• Assign grades to students
• Document in the operational system
• Create a good environment for learning

Your qualifications

Requirements:

• Teacher education with a focus on mathematics
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Merits:

• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in daily work
• Good computer skills, and experience with digital systems aimed at schools, such as: IST, Google Workspace, Unikum, Skola24

You are structured and flexible in your approach and have a good ability to switch between different teaching situations and tasks. You have clear leadership in the classroom and recognize the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment. As a person, you are relationship-building and find it easy to establish trusting contacts with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have good collaboration skills and are eager to contribute to collegial learning and the school's joint development. We place great emphasis on personal qualities for this position.
