We are now looking for you who want to become an important part of the daily life of a woman in her 40s living in a rural area just outside Ytterby/Kungälv. Here you will find a job where presence, care, and personal chemistry mean everything.

The woman lives with a severe mobility impairment, epilepsy, and does not communicate verbally. This means you need to be attentive, receptive, and curious about other ways of communicating. Over time, you will get to know her expressions, habits, and needs – and that is where the real difference is made.

This is a job for you who appreciate a calmer pace and understand the value of being there, both in the big and small things. Some days are about activities and daily chores, others about creating safety, structure, and a good day based on her conditions.

You do not need to know everything from the start. There are assistive devices, clear routines, and a thoughtful introduction. In some shifts, you work together with a colleague in double assistance.

We believe you are a person who:

Is secure, warm, and responsible. Has patience and the ability to see the person behind the disability. Thrives working closely with another person and building a long-term relationship. Is attentive to details and likes creating structure and safety. Has a driver's license and access to a car, as the workplace is located in a rural area.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and every other weekend. Shifts vary in length with both short and long shifts, usually between 08:00 and 20:00.

The position starts as an hourly employment and, if you get along, converts to a fixed-term position of approximately 75 percent for as long as the assistance assignment lasts.

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. For us, personal assistance is about creating conditions for a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. In many assignments, the person entitled to assistance is the employer themselves, while others have appointed a substitute employer. Assignments and roles vary depending on the operation and function.

GIL's office provides support in areas such as employer support, administration, finance, HR, and education. Together we contribute to making daily life work for both those entitled to assistance and employees within the cooperative.
