About the workplace

Garverivägen Care and Support Residence is located in Älvängen. There are 50 apartments distributed across five units, focusing on dementia, somatic care, and the municipality's short-term care unit. As an employee at Garverivägen, you work in all units but have a "home unit". We are now looking for 2 new employees: one employee for one of our dementia units and one employee for one of our short-term care units.

Job Responsibilities

Here, you and your colleagues work to support the elderly so that they can live as independent a life as possible. You need to have a holistic view of the individual and an understanding of how we create security in uncertain times through our approach, becoming an important person for our elderly residents.

Your tasks involve being a support to the elderly so they can live their lives as they wish. You are attentive to their wishes. The content of the workday varies. Your work is based on the individual, and together with the person you support, you plan the day. Your work includes practical help with personal care, support during meals, support during activities, and more.

We work with the whole picture regarding the elderly and therefore collaborate with other professions such as nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, as well as with relatives and other important people for the elderly.

Your role includes tasks that allow you to think and act holistically. We expect you to have a high level of commitment and be good at collaborating, planning, and organizing work together with colleagues and the unit manager.

The position suits you if you can work irregular hours and want to contribute to work that is valuable for people who need support in their daily lives.

You have very good knowledge of social documentation, medical records, and the creation of implementation plans.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with education as an assistant nurse (undersköterska), who is motivated by challenges and wants to help develop elderly care. Working together with people is seen by you as stimulating and fun!

You master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have good computer skills. A language test may be used.

You will be part of a team where your ability to collaborate is just as important as working independently. We are looking for you who have a good approach and attitude. You have the ability to create security and calm even in stressful situations.

We see that you take responsibility for contributing to the operations with a positive attitude.

We work actively with activities and to take advantage of the individual's wishes on how they want to live their life.
