During the upcoming school year, the school will conduct its teaching in completely new modules near Östra Stenhagenskolan.

Description of Duties

As a teacher at Västra Stenhagenskolan, you will play a central role in our students' knowledge development and well-being. You are responsible for teaching, planning, implementation, and assessment in mathematics as well as the natural sciences and technology.

The position includes teaching in:

• mathematics
• technology in grade 9
• physics in grade 9
• chemistry in grade 9
• biology in grade 9.

You plan and implement teaching based on the curriculum's goals, follow up on students' knowledge development, and adapt the teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. You actively work to create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop as far as possible.

The assignment also includes mentorship for a group of students. As a mentor, you are responsible for following the students' knowledge development and social situation, conducting development meetings, and maintaining close dialogue with guardians and other professionals at the school.

You are part of a grade team and subject group where collaboration, collegial learning, and joint development work are a natural part of the operations. Together, we work to create the best conditions for students' learning, development, and hope for the future.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's license with eligibility to teach mathematics and natural sciences (NO) at the lower secondary level. Experience of teaching at the lower secondary level is considered an asset.

You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your teaching by planning, structuring, and driving the work forward based on students' needs and the curriculum's goals. You are relationship-building and establish trustful relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, which creates a safe and inclusive learning environment. You are clear in your communication, both in the classroom and in collaboration with others, and ensure that instructions, expectations, and feedback are easy to understand.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship.
