Then you should apply for this job! Personal assistance is for people with disabilities who live in their own homes and need extensive support to meet their basic needs. The user receives support by having a personal assistant in the disabled person's home. The operations are conducted in accordance with the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS).

We are now looking for four personal assistants for a man in his 50s who lives in a terraced house in Läggesta. The position is part-time, 80%.

He is a happy, positive, and fun-loving person who enjoys being outdoors in nature, where he appreciates picking and exploring things in his surroundings. The man does not have fluent verbal speech but communicates with individual words, which means that as an assistant, you need to be attentive, patient, and observant of body language and other ways of expressing himself. Personal chemistry and understanding are therefore very important in this assignment.

He has significant care needs and needs support in most daily activities, which means that you as an assistant play an important and central role in his daily life.

He attends day activities five days a week and does not need assistance during that time.

Job Description

As a personal assistant, you will provide support in both care and daily activities. The work includes support with personal hygiene, help with meals, as well as accompanying him on walks and other activities both inside and outside the home.

Working hours are scheduled for all hours of the day outside the time for day activities and include sleeping on-call duty.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Turned 18 years old.
• Good computer skills.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Previous experience in personal assistance or similar work.
• Category B driver's license and access to a car.
• Knowledge of different disabilities.
