About the Position

We are now looking for support assistants for the Child and Youth Unit within Functional Support. The unit consists of approximately 25 support assistants who work within the operation's various interventions, which include escorting, respite care at home, short-term stays, and short-term supervision. Within the unit, there is also a leisure activity department responsible for creating conditions for meaningful activities for adults who have decisions on housing with special support according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).

Together, we create a broad and developing operation where collaboration and experience exchange between different operational areas are a natural part of everyday life. There is great room here to contribute ideas and help shape the future short-term care operation. Job Responsibilities

The work is varied and includes both care-related interventions as well as pedagogical and motivational work. You provide support based on the individual's needs, conditions, and goals, while working to strengthen independence, participation, and quality of life. The position includes work within the operation's various interventions, such as escorting, respite care at home, short-term stays, and short-term supervision. This implies varied work where you meet individuals in different environments and from different needs.

The role includes, among other things:

  • Provide individually adapted support based on the individual's needs, conditions, and goals.
  • Support in daily activities and personal care when needed.
  • Plan, implement, and follow up on activities that promote participation, development, and independence.
  • Work with clarifying pedagogy and other evidence-based methods.
  • Motivate and encourage leisure activities and new experiences.
  • Document and follow up on interventions according to current routines.
  • Participate in operational development and contribute to achieving the operation's goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professions to create the best possible support.

The work offers great variation and the opportunity to make a difference in the daily lives of children, young people, and young adults, while also getting to help develop the future LSS operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed a vocational education within the Child and Youth Program, Care and Health Program, social pedagogy education, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. Furthermore, you have experience working with clarifying pedagogy and can work with structure, schedules, and time support in everyday life adapted for the target group.

If you also have further education within the neuropsychiatric field, it is meritorious. You have good computer skills and experience documenting in journal systems and creating implementation plans with goals. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. For the position, it is required that you have a B-driver's license for manual transmission.

  • Salary: Monthly salary.
  • Employment type: Permanent employment.
  • Duration: Permanent, start date: 2025-09-01 or according to agreement.

The current position is filled subject to the necessary decisions being made. According to the Social Services Act, extracts from the police criminal record must be presented by persons before they are employed to work in homes for care or housing (HVB homes), supported housing, or protected housing.
