About the position

Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Law on Support and Service for Certain Disability Groups). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves protecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a 10-year-old child living in Hälleforsnäs who recently started their assistance with us. The client's individual needs dictate the workday, and tasks may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as household chores and activities in and outside the home. The boy has autism and communicates, among other things, using picture support. The work focuses heavily on activating the client, finding fun outdoor activities, and working with a low-affective approach in a safe and structured environment. Currently, during the summer, the client is off from school, meaning working hours cover full days, while the schedule during school terms is set for afternoons, evenings, and nights with waiting time.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good chemistry between you and the client. Since the work involves activities and physical tasks, you need to be physically strong and completely smoke-free during working hours.

Requirements for the position:

• Previous experience with autism
• Previous experience with children
• Good knowledge of Swedish or English to handle communication and documentation
• B-driver's license (automatic transmission is sufficient) and access to your own car to commute to work

Merits for the position:

• Experience in similar work
• Experience with picture support in communication
• Experience or education in low-affective approach (LAB)

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary

The current form of employment is "as long as the assistance assignment lasts". We are looking for two people for this assignment: one position at approx. 100% (approx. 38 hours per week) and one position at approx. 50% (approx. 20 hours per week). Working hours are scheduled on weekdays as well as weekends. During school terms, the times are 16:25-22:00 and night shifts 22:00-07:10 (including 7.5 hours of waiting time). During the summer, we work full days as the client has summer vacation. Please note that working hours look different during the summer.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date

Immediate start according to agreement. Introduction takes place according to agreement and can begin immediately so that you feel completely secure in your work.
