About Björktorpsskolan

Björktorpsskolan consists of two school buildings with a large, lovely schoolyard between them. The school has just over 550 students from preschool class up to grade 6.

Our key words are collaboration and cooperation. At our school, you rarely work alone. We are centrally located in Eskilstuna, close to green areas, the train station, and the city center. Responsibilities

You work preventively and supportively to create a safe and inclusive school environment for students in grades F-3. As part of the student health team, you collaborate closely with teachers and the student health team to provide students with the right support based on their needs.

An important part of the role is to plan, lead, and develop the school's recess activities. You create activities during the school day that contribute to community, participation, and well-being. You work closely with students in their daily lives, lead group activities, and facilitate student councils. The role also involves motivating and supporting students through conversations and relationship-building work.

You feel confident handling both simple and more challenging conversations. Here, you work with conflict management and actively contribute to creating good relationships between students, guardians, and the school. The role also includes participating in student health team meetings, working with safety surveys, and handling reports of harassment and concerns. You collaborate closely with internal and external actors as well as the club life to create the best conditions for students' development and well-being.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a University College (YH) education as a social pedagogue or another post-secondary education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You are welcome to have work experience in a similar role and have worked with children and young people with norm-breaking behavior.

Your personal qualities are crucial for your success in the role. We are looking for someone who is calm and confident in themselves, and has a good ability to build relationships with both students and teachers. This is a role where you are present with the students and have many different contacts. If you are also flexible and attracted to working in a changing environment, then this is the job for you!
