International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English, with English being the language of the corridors. Recreational Pedagogue / After-School Care Leader
Do you want to help create a meaningful and secure daily life for children?
We are now looking for a recreational pedagogue/after-school care leader for a fixed-term position, who can contribute to developing our after-school care program, starting in August 2026.
About the Position
You will work to stimulate students' learning and development based on their needs, interests, and experiences, while also challenging them by inspiring new knowledge.
You are responsible for offering students a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments. Together with your colleagues, you plan, implement, and evaluate the after-school activities.
You have a positive view of students and want every student to succeed. As a person, you are calm and place great importance on building good relationships. You have a well-developed ability to collaborate and lead yourself in your assignment. Furthermore, you have good empathetic and pedagogical skills that allow you to see how each student can best be supported in their development. We appreciate that you are curious and that you see opportunities rather than obstacles when it comes to meeting students' ideas, thoughts, and experiences.
You must find it fun, stimulating, and exciting to work in after-school care and give every student the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites and abilities.
Qualifications
For this position, we are looking for you who are a licensed recreational pedagogue/after-school care leader with a focus on work in after-school care. You are well acquainted with the curriculum and other regulatory documents within the school area, and you have a good ability to work towards set goals to develop the quality of the after-school care.
You are curious, creative, and you can inspire and motivate your colleagues in the work team. Your IT skills are good, and you work with interactive tools and documentation as a natural part of teaching. Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing, is required for the position. As a person, you are secure and stable and skilled at creating good relationships with both students and colleagues as well as guardians. You are clear and transparent in your communication and have the ability to motivate and enthuse students to absorb new knowledge.

The position is a fixed-term contract starting in August 2026.
