Ekparken is a smaller residence specializing in care for people with cognitive illnesses. We have been star-rated for several years and actively work with a "zero vision," meaning no restrictions or coercion in dementia care. We work person-centered and with great respect for the individual. The residents should have a significant say in how their care is provided. The residence is centrally located near public transport and several beautiful green areas. There are 40 apartments in total. Within walking distance, you will find a grocery store, pizzeria, grill, and Örgryte New Church. Across the street lies the entire Delsjö area with nature trails and hiking paths.

We value your commitment and competence. You are the one who makes everyday life function and become meaningful. In your work, you focus on the resident's strengths and utilize their resources. You motivate and stimulate the resident based on their individual conditions in their own home, which is part of the care and support housing.

Your duties include personal care, support during meals, encouragement and support in social activities, as well as collaboration with relatives. Some tasks are performed under the direction of licensed personnel. You also serve as the primary care contact, helping residents articulate their needs and wishes.

Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for the protected job title, or alternatively show that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new rules were introduced. The work requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems and good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with others.

We would appreciate it if you have experience in care and support with a focus on dementia or geriatric psychiatry. It is also an advantage if you have worked as a BPSD administrator or star instructor.

In your role, you meet many people, which requires you to work together with others to achieve common goals. You should be respectful, open in your interactions, and always have the residents' best interests in focus. The workday can sometimes differ from the plan because you work with people, so you maintain your calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks.
