Are you an experienced social worker within the authority function for children and young people? Do you thrive with investigative work and want to contribute your knowledge, stability, and professional skills in a children's unit for ages 0–12? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Our unit consists of a unit manager and eight social workers, and we often collaborate with our other units on the department. Here, we usually work in pairs during our investigations as this creates security, high quality, and good opportunities for collegial support. As a group, we get along well, have great openness and security in our collaboration with each other. At our workplace, feedback culture and structure are important parts of our shared work environment, and we are driven by engagement, professionalism, and a strong desire to make a difference for children and their families. We have regular supervision with a systemic focus and are part of Yrkesresan. The Signs of Safety approach is a foundation on the department that we apply in our work with families and in our unit. Competencies such as EARL and child conversations have strengthened our unit, and now we are introducing the method support IRISK on the department. We are facing an implementation of IRISK that you will be involved in from the start.

Here, you have the opportunity for two days of remote work if the job allows. Your new job

One of our colleagues is moving on to another profession within social work, and we are looking for a replacement who will become an important part of our operations. On the children and young people's department, we have our reception unit, youth unit, and outpatient unit, which we often collaborate with. When children are placed in foster homes, the case handling moves to the foster home unit, where the family court is also located.

You will investigate children's needs and follow up on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Placement of Children in Protected Accommodation, and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). Based on your experience, you are used to working as both lead and co-case worker and can provide enhanced support in planning and the processes that occur in an investigative unit.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are experienced and stable in your professional role and confident in all parts of case handling. You have a degree in social work and several years of current experience from the area of children and young people, within authority functions. You are independent, take responsibility for driving and structuring your work, and keep timeframes. You have a holistic perspective and pedagogical ability that allows you to adapt your way of communicating messages to the recipient.

You are used to taking responsibility, making independent assessments, and contributing to a legally secure and qualitative process. At the same time, you want to be part of a context where we support each other and want to develop together.

Merits include:

• Experience working with the Signs of Safety approach and IRISK.
• Experience in mentoring within children and young people or a supportive function in the area.
• Category B driver's license.

Employment conditions

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 38,000–52,000 SEK depending on experience and competence. In some cases, more senior candidates may be offered a higher salary within the role's total range.

Our collective agreement regulates the terms of employment such as salary, working hours, allowances, and other benefits within the sector.
