You will step into a society-critical operation within the energy sector where several strategically important changes are underway simultaneously. Among other things, there is an upgrade to SAP S/4HANA, modernization of the integration platform, establishment of OT/IT integration capabilities, further development of the data and analytics platform, and a shift towards a more modular and future-proof IT architecture.

You will become part of an architecture function responsible for enterprise, business, IT, and information architecture. The team consists of approximately 15 architects and specialists and has a clear mandate to drive the long-term architectural transformation. In this role, you will have central responsibility for defining, steering, and realizing the target architecture at the boundary between OT and IT, with a particular focus on operations and maintenance.

You work closely with operations, OT, IT, security functions, projects, and suppliers, driving architecture issues from strategic direction to concrete implementation. This is a role for you who wants to influence the architecture in a complex environment where operation-critical systems, security, and long-term technology choices meet.

• You design target architecture, architecture principles, and solution architecture for operation support and monitoring systems, including SCADA, OT-near IT systems, and communication solutions.
• You drive architecture issues from analysis and decision-making to implementation and ensure holistic integrity across the IT and OT landscape.
• You produce analyses, roadmaps, and decision support materials to support strategic and technical choices.
• You lead and coordinate integration between OT and IT environments and advocate for robust and secure integration patterns for operation-critical systems.
• You ensure that solutions follow architecture principles, relevant standards, and requirements within cybersecurity and interoperability.
• You are responsible for technological choices from a lifecycle and sustainability perspective and translate environmental scanning into concrete recommendations.
• You create anchoring through close collaboration with the operations organization, OT, security functions, projects, and external parties.
• You document, communicate, and visualize target architectures and contribute to the further development of methods, working practices, and tools within the architecture function.

• At least 10 years of experience in architecture work, for example as a domain architect, IT architect, solution architect, or system architect.
• Documented experience in creating target architectures, roadmaps, and decision support materials.
• Experience with complex IT environments in business-critical or security-classified environments.
• Very good knowledge of SCADA and OT systems.
• Very good knowledge of network architecture and IP-based communication.
• Very good knowledge of integration and distributed system landscapes.
• Knowledge of security within critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as NIS/NIS2, IEC 61850, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience with established frameworks such as TOGAF and SAFe, as well as the ability to apply them practically based on business needs.
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English.

• Experience from the energy or electricity grid industry.
• Experience with OT/IT convergence in society-critical environments.
• Experience from plant-intensive operations.
