Join us in developing procurement at Billerud – we are now looking for a Category Manager for Indirect Material & Services (IMS) with a focus on process equipment.

My name is Erik Carlsson and I am responsible for the Indirect Material & Services procurement group. I am now looking for a Category Manager to join our team who will manage categories related to process-adjacent equipment. You will become part of our team of 9 people and will work closely with both our operations and our suppliers to drive procurement strategies, tenders, and risk management. Sourcing at Billerud is undergoing a fantastic transformation journey where we work category-driven with many contacts both internally and externally.

The group consists of people from both the paper and pulp industry as well as other parts of industrial manufacturing. We offer an independent and developmental role in an international environment where you will have a key position in our ongoing transformation journey. As a Category Manager at Billerud, you are given a large mandate to work independently to drive your categories forward, and we in the team love to bounce ideas off each other, big or small.

We within Billerud's corporate shared Sourcing function are responsible for ensuring cost-effective and sustainable supply of raw materials, equipment, and services – both in the short and long term. Our goal is to create value through continuous improvements, standardization, collaboration, and supplier development.

In this role, you are responsible for

• Designing, implementing, and continuously monitoring the strategy for the categories you are responsible for.
• Driving tenders, negotiations, and establishing cost-effective contracts.
• Managing and proactively working to minimize risks in the supply chain.
• Analyzing Billerud's cost structure within the categories to design and drive future efficiency initiatives together with our five mills across Sweden.
• Developing working methods and processes together with the group and actively participating in various forums within the corporation.
• The role includes an administrative part, where you will, among other things, work with spend analysis, structured reports, and document management. Much of our administration currently takes place in Excel.

The role is located at one of our mills in Skärblacka (Norrköping), Grums (Karlstad), Frövi (Örebro), Karlsborg (Kalix), Gävle, or at our headquarters in Solna, Stockholm. Travel may occur in the role.

Qualifications

• University or college education in a relevant field or equivalent competence.
• Experience in strategic procurement.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and driving initiatives.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good negotiation skills and knowledge of contract law.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Previous experience in strategic procurement within maintenance and indirect materials.
• Experience from the process industry.
• Technical experience acquired through studies or work experience.
• Experience with SAP, as we are in the midst of an ongoing ERP system change.
